Interactive Privacy Policy
Welcome to the interactive explorer for the CliFun Privacy Policy. We believe understanding how your data is handled should not require a law degree. This page translates our legal commitments into a navigable product view, so you can inspect what we collect, how we use it, and your rights in the current beta service.
Overview
This section introduces the scope of the policy. It explains what CliFun is and frames our data practices in the context of the current beta architecture.
CliFun is a web service designed for describing, generating, testing, versioning, and exporting command-line tools. This policy is tailored to our current beta architecture, which uses Supabase for infrastructure, Anthropic for intelligence, and isolated environments for code execution.
Information We Collect
Explore the specific categories of data we collect to make CliFun work. The tabs below separate identity data, the content you create, and the operational records generated while the platform runs.
Authentication Data
When you authenticate via Supabase Auth, we collect:
- Identifiers: Email address, username, and avatar URL.
- Provider Metadata: If using GitHub OAuth, we may sync profile details to initialize your CliFun profile.
- Authentication Status: Tokens and session data required to maintain your login.
How We Use Your Information
Understanding why we need your data is crucial. The chart below offers a conceptual distribution of the main processing purposes behind the CliFun platform, followed by the key note on AI training.
Conceptual representation of processing focus areas.
To save your projects, manage versioning, and facilitate exports.
To send prompts to Anthropic for code generation and refinement.
To provision isolated sandbox environments for code execution.
To prevent abuse, monitor for malicious code patterns, and protect infrastructure.
Important Note on AI Training
We facilitate AI features via API. Under our current configuration with providers like Anthropic, data sent for generation is used to produce outputs for you and is not used by us or our providers to train foundation models without your explicit consent.
Service Providers (Sub-processors)
We rely on trusted infrastructure partners to operate CliFun securely and efficiently. Each provider below is tied to a specific product function.
Supabase
Infrastructure & Identity
Anthropic
AI Model Inference
E2B / Cloud Sandboxes
Secure Execution
GitHub
OAuth Provider
These providers process data only as instructed by us to perform specific product functions.
Your Rights & Responsibilities
Privacy is a two-way street. This final section outlines the control you have over your data, how long we retain it, and the responsibilities you hold regarding sensitive information processed through the tool.
Retention & Deletion
- Retention timeframeWe retain account and project data for as long as your account is active or otherwise needed to provide the service.
- Soft-DeletionOur beta interface supports account deletion, which soft-deletes the local user record and archives active projects.
- Upstream AuthDeleting your CliFun profile does not automatically delete your identity record within Supabase or your GitHub account.
User Responsibility
You are responsible for ensuring that you do not include sensitive credentials such as API keys or passwords in prompts or code snapshots.
CliFun executes code in sandboxes. While isolated, users should still review AI-generated code before execution to prevent unintended logic loops or excessive resource consumption.
Exercise Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, including the EEA/UK under GDPR or California under CCPA-style frameworks, you may have rights to access, export, correct, or delete project data, and to object to certain processing activities.
